I thought my Bose SoundLink speaker (Model 404600) was done. It had been dying for quite awhile and finally wouldn’t even stay powered up with the DC supply connected. As a last ditch effort I looked to see if perhaps its battery was replaceable. When I found this battery online, and saw it was clearly designed for easy replacement, I thought to myself I should have looked into it much sooner.This replacement battery claims to be higher capacity than the original but I have no way to verify that. Not that it matters to me.The battery included a tiny screwdriver which had no purpose in my case. The only tool I needed was a 2.5mm hex driver. (Maybe some other models this battery fits use tiny Phillips screws?) The change was very easy. Remove two screws from the bottom and wiggle the outer cover off. Then two more screws to release the battery pack. Assembly is the reverse. Honestly, I spent way more time cleaning the cover than changing the battery.
