I have been trying to get my lavalier to work on my Hero 3 for some time now. This was the third adapter I tried (thanks YouTube) and it worked. I am uncertain if it nulls out the onboard mic or not, so watch where you place your hands and check for spikes in close proximity to sound sources.That being said, it looks nice, and the mic works. Thanks!

Looked like the right size, the description said it was compatible, but it's not. Read the other reviews (I should've trusted them) this product is trash does not fit.

I use this to pull audio from a motorcycle helmet microphone into my GoPro for motovlogging, and it works great!The downside is that audio comes in as a mono channel (left ear), so it adds an extra step in editing to duplicate or pan the track to make it stereo.Overall very durable. It's survived multiple rainstorms, sand, dust, mud, and dirt!

It works if you JUST want a camera hooked up. But it is Impossible to use HDMI simultaneously as the USB Audio cable bends into an "L" shape, covering the HDMI mini port. I had to cut back the plastic on Both my HDMI cable and Audio Cable just to get it to fit. It would be a much better design if the USB mini Connector was Straight instead of "L" shaped.

Bought this to connect a microphone to an older handycam. I have no idea whether it works from an electrical standpoint, because it doesn't even work from a mechanical standpoint - the male plug can't be inserted into a standard USB Mini jack. I even hunted down some old phones and other equipment with USB Mini to confirm, and it fits none of them. Returning for refund.

This thing does not work at all.I had to trash 2 hours of video from my Hero4 because I had imagined that a brand new mic dongle should work right out of the package. The only audio that was caught was a heavy static sound with an occasional click and pop. Do not buy this.

I wouldn't know right now about the quality or workmanship I haven't tested it on the road yet.. BUT I did plug it into the DRIFT Ghost X and it worked meaning that it should also work with the Ghost 4K..EDIT: It works well and the sound quality for the Drift Ghost X is exactly as we wanted it to work..

I thought it was used for a dslr but it is only for go pro's. It worked for my go pro and the audio quality was good!
