The 3M™ Ammonia/Methylamine Cartridge/Filter 60924 P100 helps provide protection against ammonia, methylamine, and certain particulates in a variety of environments. The cartridge/filter combination may be used for respiratory protection from ammonia, methylamine, and non-oil and oil particulate concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with quantitatively fit tested full facepieces. This cartridge/filter is not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). Recommended applications for the cartridge/filter include charging of refrigeration systems, fertilizing, laboratories, and maintenance. Inventory needs and training requirements for safety equipment are reduced because this respirator cartridge/filter selection works for many different applications. This cartridge/filter is commonly used in the following industries: agriculture, chemicals, general manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals.
This ammonia/methylamine cartridge/filter works with 3M™ Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series respirators with bayonet attachment holders. The cartridge/filter is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for environments containing ammonia, methylamine, and non-oil and oil particulates. The cartridge/filter has been assigned the color code “Magenta/Green” in the NIOSH system.

Pay attention to the stripe colors, green is for anhydrous ammonia, I’ve made that mistake before. It’s not pleasant.

I was originally using a different type of these filter products to apply Red Gard in an enclosed area. Red Gard emits a lot of ammonia. The filter type I was using wasn't rated for ammonia. I didn't realize how much of does I was getting and burned my lungs. Took several days before I felt OK. After that I researched the filter types and got this. During my research I ran across a lot of brick and mortar store clerks that maid false claims about stopping ammonia on various filters. Only if the product specifically states "ammonia" will it stop it. With this filter I was able to finish the job without more suffering. Research your tools and safety.

My cartilage package was damaged during transportation. And those cartilages almost fall on to the ground wen I open theParcel. Despite all of that packing issue, the product itself not bad, I should perform better than surgical mask

If you like breathing and long life, this mask is an excellent choice. In construction reviews for masks, this one was one of the highest scoring. Plus, the replaceable filters allow you to select the right filter for the environment you are working in. Used this mask working in an attic where the dust and fiberglass fibers were a considerable problem, making anyone working there cough for days after just an hour working. Pros: the mask is comfortable and does wick moisture away from the face, making it more comfortable in a hot environment. Mask seals better and protects considerably more than ordinary "dust masks." Definitely protects the lungs and throat. Cons: the filter packs tend to pop out easily. You have to angle them in just right when putting the mask on.

I do a lot of renovations. My house was very cheap to buy and needs a lot of work.I had pneumonia earlier this year and decided I needed something good to protect my lungs from any further damage. I looked at a lot of reviews and am very impressed with the entire product. Could only smell fresh air! Awesome!! It was well worth the money. I use it with a 3M FX Full Facepiece.

Filters out the ammonia, as it should. Works well at a cat shelter where the urine smell can be strong, especially when handling litter. Somewhat heavy and bulky.
