Color variations are to be expected from batch to batch. What you see on your screen might not be exactly what you will get, this is mostly due to several factors, among others: lighting when the picture was taken, lighting in your own monitor, but mostly changes in the glazes used between batches. The space for these tiles is three inches tall. Not one of the eight tiles fit. The fireplace hearth is going to need to be “shaved”, then painted after the tiles are added.I did try freezing the tiles. No effect on size. I was going to use a Dremel on them then decided on the method above while consulting with the handyman.Later: We ended up taking a Dremel to the tiles as well.

Fabulously beautiful tiles, which I added to my yard for pops of color. These are made really well and worth the price.
