I use so many polishing pads I literally have a testing array where I can put multiple pads and run them at the same time to see how they wear and whether any have any problems so I can choose brands. (see photos). These pads did quite well. They scored high for durability, provided good cutting rate, and good surface quality. The pads did not display any cupping, chipping, or void formation even after about 4 hours of near continuous use. These are going into my regular usage. A+

I had new quartz countertops installed in the kitchen (Goodbye Formica) and I asked the installers to leave the stovetop cutout. There was a hole in the middle of the cutout and more holes in each of the 4 corners. I ended up cutting the one piece into 2 cutting board size pieces and then used this kit to finish the edges.First of all, I had never polished quartz before, but my major hobbies are woodworking and DIYing, so I thought this was pretty similar. The diamond pads appear to be made well for an inexpensive kit. I like that the backside of each pad has the grit number, so I started with the lowest grit to the highest grit. I attached the pad to the hook & loop plastic pad and then screwed that onto one of my 4 1/2” angle grinders. Then I got to work. After a moment I noticed a vibration in my left hand that was holding onto the screw-in handle. I stopped the grinder and noticed that the pad had shifted ~1/8” to one side, which caused the vibration. The hook & loop system does seem to attach the pad well and I had to peel off the diamond pad with some force to reseat it. Based on the amount of force it took to peel off the pad, I was surprised that it had shifted. Working through the rest of the grits, I sometimes had the same vibration issues and sometimes not. After going through all the grits the edges looked and felt much better, but not as good as the factory top. It’s nice that they included 2 wool felt buffing pads and an additional attachment to allow the plastic hook & loop pad to be used with a drill.Overall this is a fine kit for the DIYer, especially if you have access to remnants.
