Put it on and strum your favorite song- I was surprised at how good it sounded without changing my strumming style at all. Works great with a foot tambourine!

Ok... they might explode into a bb bomb if you threw one of these at a wall. But that's not their purpose, is it? They are noise-makers that can drive home a beat while you're playing the guitar. Feels kinda awkward strapped across one of your strumming fingers but you get used to it after a short while. Awkward but not uncomfortable. Four colors to choose from gives you a decent variety. It's a nice way to jazz up your playing if you're looking for something to do just that. Actually, it's a great deal, with more applications than just spicing up the guitar playing.

1st of all, I am happy with the shakers and consider them well worth the money. However, there are some pluses and minuses.Pluses: 1.There are 4 of them so you can share. 2. Both end caps are easily removable. This allows you to replace the tiny shot inside with sand, plastic beads, or BBs to change the volume of the shaker.Minuses: 1. Both end caps are easily removable and tend to fall off during vigorous strumming 2. The shot is tiny, nonmagnetic, and scatters everywhere.I recommend that once you get the sound just the way you like it, put a piece of tape on each end plug to hold them in place.
