There are no included instructions (which way to put it in, what the flow rate is for each color). I read some other product descriptions online and they seem to be consistent. Otherwise, they work.

The package includes the four Flow Restrictors, but there is no guide as to which one is which. I presume the color codes are universal, and looked at other listings to determine what flow rate went with each color restrictor. When I remodeled our house, I had put in new shower heads but had removed the restrictors to gain full water pressure. We have 4 showers, and that caused us to run out of hot water. Replacing the restrictors didn't affect the water flow too much, and now the hot water lasts longer.
