Very strong, click together with some pressure. If you have long nails, these may be hard to remove but I used a Bobby pin and pried them apart. Won't put a hole in your shirt but I wonder how comfortable they'd be against my sweaty skin on a run. But they look clean and are repositionable. There are also tons of them in a pack. The enclosed plastic case really isn't big enough so I'm just using the zip lock bag the pieces came in. Be sure to snap them together using the wider circular side otherwise you'll be pushing and pushing without the click, and you'll need to flip it anyhow. Not hard to figure out and a good product.
