This vortex mixer works very well and quickly. It seamlessly blends paints that have been separated, paints and mediums, and nail polish. These were the main purposes for which I ordered this vortex mixer. It's also less noisy than some other vortex mixers I've tried in the past. I'm not saying it's silent or perfectly quiet, but it isn't going to alert the neighbors that I've got some paints to blend, either. The feet and its weight do a good job of gripping the surface of tables, desks, and counters so that it doesn't walk or wobble off the edge. I also appreciate that they included little ball bearings - they are very helpful. The size of this is perfect for my purposes, as it will mix a small amount of paint and airbrush medium (for example) and I don't feel like I'm whipping out an industrial sized cake mixer for a dozen cookies (overkill). It's also easy to store. I think this is a great value for the money, and I do highly recommend this vortex mixer.

If you need a Vortex, and you are on a budget, this is the way to go. It has plenty of power and mixes your tubes or containers well. The quality is quite decent, it's an attractive little machine and it comes with beads for added effect in breaking up protein or other tasks. Chemists and biologists who don't have much left in their equipment budget, this is a good choice.
