We bought a cheaper version and it leaked all of the time. We got this one and it works great. Don't go for the cheaper version.

I was so surprised to see this little cap for my older carpet shampooer available on Vine. I had lost the original so I had to buy a new carpet cleaner. But I was hesitant to get rid of the lder model. Ordered this replacement, and it looks and functions just like the one that came on the shampooer. It doesn't leak solution but dispenses it properly. So I was able to give the older machine to a family member who needed it. Great item, save hundreds by fixing up an older tool.

My solution tank started leaking after roughly 3 years of use. The OEM replacement caps are pricey. These aren't. Works perfectly. If it is indeed just like OEM I assume it will start leaking in a few years too, but that's a design problem, I think.Recommended.
