They work for what I wanted.... mostly. I got these to stick (pre-made) wax seals to tissue paper when I send out orders. I wanted something that sticks, seems professional enough (so, not tape), didn't have a drying time (like actual glue), and could be removed from the wax seal in case they want to keep it.This seems to do all of those, they're easy to remove from the plastic backing. However, I can't stick them onto the wax seal, remove the plastic circle from the other side, and then press it onto the paper - I have to stick it to the paper, and then stick the wax seal on top. Not too different, but it does mean I can't make a bunch of wax seals into stickers and grab them when I'm ready, I have to also grab the sheet of dots every time I pack an order with a wax seal (which is several times every day I pack orders). Fine, I can do that. But then, the little circle is super difficult to remove from the dots without pulling the dot too. And on top of that, they do have a bit of a strong smell. I'm hoping that goes away while in transit and the customers don't have to deal with that. I haven't gotten any complaints, and I also haven't gotten complaints in reviews about not being able to keep the wax seal (I don't know if my customers do that, but I like giving them the option), so I'm hoping it's removable after a week in transit.Overall not mad, and they do work, but it's just a bit annoying.

Unfortunately, these are not entirely “museum” grade; i.e., removable and non-damaging. Normally I buy the brand name Glue Dots and have been using them for years for projects where I don’t want permanent adhesion. They work magnificent on even the most fragile paper, albeit, you have to be extra careful when removing.Despite my success with Glue Dots I decided to give these a try because they are much more economical. I discovered, at least here, you get what you pay for. I tested these out on thin (Kraft) paper, copy paper, cardboard, & plastic; the types of surfaces I use dots with.It gripped thin paper so well I found it impossible to remove without ripping the paper. Fail. Copy paper fared better and performed as expected. It gripped well and removed easy. So, a win there if that’s the only medium you’ll use. I’d also put photo paper in this category. Cardboard and plastic were the opposite experience I had with Kraft paper. The dots did not adhere well at all and practically fell off when I went to remove them. I consider this a fail since they didn’t really hold. So, based on my tests, these might be fine for photos or copy paper. I wouldn’t use on fragile items, and I didn’t find them to work well with cardboard or plastic. Personally, lesson learned. These are no competitor to Glue Dots.
