Bought this for my husband since he likes to grill on our patio. We had concrete floors and every time he would use it, the floor would have grease stains that were hard to remove. This is the perfect size and helps with the cleanup afterwards. Recommend

Everyone that has a grill out by their pool needs to have this… So many things fall on the pavers from the grill when you’re cooking and this catches everything is completely weatherproof and is the perfect size for almost any standard grill. Lightweight and easy to clean.

The mat comes in a plastic wrapper with no instructions so I am not sure if one side is better than the other. It is much thinner than I thought, but hopefully will work as needed.

I’m not a five star giving kind of guy, but I’ll make an exception with a caveat: It’s 5 stars for what it says it is, and for what it says it does - so 5 star in it’s “lane” so to speak. That means it may not be the absolute best made - I wouldn’t know, so I’m not giving it 5 stars for being the “best”, I’m giving it 5 stars because it arrived quickly, looked good, and did the job.I like that it’s super lightweight, therefore absolutely no problem to handle. It’s great that it’s supposedly able to stand up to fire and water, we’ll see, but it looks durable enough. You don’t have to worry about it blowing away with the grill on it, but the corners may come up in a stiff wind. You can put a small flower pot, bag of wood chips, a chair leg, or some other kind of weight on the corner to prevent that, and it wasn’t a real problem.The one thing I want to point out is that, I wasn’t that happy when I saw some of the pictures posted on Amazon by the purchasers, because I thought this thing would be a wrinkled mess. I’m happy to say that mine looks nothing like that. It came folded up in a tight rectangle, but when I spread it out and rolled the Weber 22” grill on top, it looked more like the advertising photos, with no wrinkles.I mention the 22” grill, which is a great fit (I use those table “wings” on it, so it’s footprint is much wider), this mat would work for much larger grills with much wider profiles.So 5 stars if you want something inexpensive that will protect your patio and look good - probably not 5 stars if you want the best of the best.

This grill mat is the same on both sides - silicone coated fiberglass. It is not a thick, rubber mat. It is definitely big enough for our grill and should prevent grease stains on the concrete. It has a sewn edge, like a rug. It seems like it should be easy to wipe or hose off. Not sure how long it will last compared to a rubber mat.
