These post brackets should help to protect the wooden posts from water damage. They seem like they will do the job with our railing posts and can be mounted to the deck as well. Hole are provided for bolts to mount to the decking. The black powder coating should help to protect the metal brackets.

The size is incorrect. Not consistent with the description, there is a fake weld at the bottom that has cracked. Not sturdy. Very dangerous.

The fit and finish on these post bases is top notch! The concrete anchors that are supplied with them are kind of cheesy though. The nuts don't fit well and four of the twenty four anchors pulled out of very solid concrete. The next time I install these post bases I will buy my own anchors.

Heavy gauge steel. Allows water to drain out the bottom so post does not stay wet. Excellent finish. Well built. Highly recommend.
