This product does what it says it does, at a price that's good, 10G LR optic for $15. Feels appropriately robust, I was able to insert and remove from my test switches without issue. Optic was tested over OS2 LC-LC Patch cables and had good light levels, I've not tested in a truly long-range environment yet, and can't comment on longevity yet.If you're looking for 10G Networking at home for outbuildings or similar this is ideal, for business use maybe in branch office locations.

This module performs reliably. Installation took little time, and it works with all my gear—Cisco, Ubiquiti, and even TP-Link. The 1310nm wavelength and 20km range suit my requirements well. The DDM feature is quite useful for monitoring. Overall, it operates smoothly and offers good value for the price. I would recommend it.

I bought another one of these to link up a pair of switches. Had a previous set but would get intermittent drops. Now I have a steady connection with no issues at all.Simple to install and swap these out. Ordered a set of copper now as a backup but likely won’t need them now!Using these with Zyxel switches that have 2 - 10Gb SFP ports. They work perfectly with no issues at all.

This is a great high quality SFP+ LC 10GBase LR transceiver. The transceiver hooked right up at the advertised speed. This transceiver has a little heft to it which tells me it is made of quality components. It runs only warm to the touch. It is shipped in a metal tin with foam slots inside to protect the transceiver.Be sure to use single-mode fiber with this transceiver. At the time of this review, the SFP+ LC 10GBase-LR Transceiver was selling for $16.41. This is a pretty sweet price for a high quality 10GBase-LR transceiver.

"Plug it in."The FTTPVIPS 10G Single Mode SFP+ LC LR Transceiver Module is packaged in a tin box with an extra slot meant for two modules. It was something I wasn't expecting and I'll be upcycling the container for my spare modules. I like to keep an extra pair of modules on hand in the event a module decide to give up the magic smoke. Although my past experiences with electronics of this type would indicate that if they don't fail within the first 90 days or so, they're not going to fail before they (or the equipment they're plugged into) are replaced by counterparts with more features. A month and a half in, my sample is working as intended connecting two switches in different parts of the lair. As far as I can tell, my sample isn't running any hotter than my other modules. These modules are pretty much plug-and-play, as long as you use the correct mode fiber cables. Be sure you are using a single mode cable with this module.

You've seen one you've seen them all. Or so I thought. I was able to connect this to my non-brand unswitched hub and a different brand module in the other end, and everything worked flawless. If you've got the LC fiber, this will work well. One thing that I liked most though that I haven't seen in any other module I've used so far, is that those blue arrows on the LC end are actually on a hinge, so when nothing is plugged in you can pull it down and use it like a handle to pull it out. It's the little things I guess. Overall, easy setup, ok for the money and connected without a problem. Recommend.

This is a great SFP+ single mode fiber transceiver and was plug and play with my Ubiquiti switches. This transceiver seems well made and is a good way to link switches or get network connection to remote areas that are too far to run ethernet / cat 6 cables. For the price, you really can't beat this single mode SFP+ LC transceiver. It's a great value and works well.

This works great in a generic 10gb sfp+ switch, I've had no issues with it when paired with a compatible 10gb adapter on the other side.
