I got these braces for my pergola to reinforce the corners which they definitely do. They’re heavy duty and thick and the black matches all my other pergola parts overall, I’m very happy with this.

I use these as gusset brackets for an outdoor building project. These saved me all sorts of time versus making the same style braces out of wood. They also seem super strong and were much easier to install. I have no doubt that these are stronger than a comparably sized wood alternative since they are each held in with eight lag bolts. After they weather for a while, I will supplement this review if there are any corrosion issues. I do have one critique in that the lag bolts that come with it are some sort of oddball hex head size and neither metric or SAE sockets seem to fit them correctly. The metric size is too loose and the SAE size is extremely tight. However, I did get them to work in any event so not a huge deal and still a five star product.

I ordered these support brackets to reinforce my pergola as we live in a snow zone. The brackets themselves are quite sturdy. There are no openings for water to seep into.The welds are decently done (see photos).These fit perfectly on a 4x4 piece of wood.The holes will accept screws up to 5/16 - 18 course or 5/16 - 24 fine.

Honestly, I thought these were really nice, clean, sturdy brackets and the finish seemed perfect. You receive eight of the brackets, packaged well, and not a single one had a flaw. The are described as for pergolas, but I can see using them on furniture, shelves, reinforcing a railing, or even holding up a counter (my personal use this time), anywhere you need support. Very nice.

First off, the coating, welds, and perfect angles make these brackets Very Good!The gauge/thickness of the metal is more than sufficient for the use in the construction of a pergola, but I would check with an engineer before using in in a project where it would be used in a truly “heavy-duty” application. (I have many years of experience in commercial construction)I can’t weld and paint brackets like these myself fore this price so to me it’s an excellent value!

I have a pergola framework that has a fabric top and sides and had some wobble too it before installing these brackets. These brackets were easy to install and are a true 45-degree angle as they are flush against my 4 by 6 and 4 by 4 boards. After installing these brackets when I pushed against the pillars, they did seem stiffer as they didn't wobble as much as they did prior to installing these brackets.

These are good supports. Not quite as large as i imagined but seem quite sturdy. Welds are clean and powder coat is well done. I do wish they had some drain holes but they appear to be totally sealed so it may not be an issue. Overall, pretty impressed by these brackets.
