Got these for kayaking. They are easy to carry, either clip them on or wear them on the provided lanyard (easy to adjust the length out to a max of about 17"). They're loud with minimal effort--I can't say how loud, but they seem adequate for the purpose.I really only needed two (the package comes with four), but that's not a disadvantage.

These whistles are very loud with very little blowing effort. This can be important when a person in need of help is exhausted.In my area boating regulations require a life jacket and a whistle for every passenger, whether you are in a motorboat, a kayak, or a paddle board?!? This certainly fills that requirement. I like to take them backpacking too, even though it isn’t required.I like the design of these because they can be clipped on to a life jacket, a backpack, a belt, or just hung around your neck with the long reflective lanyard. Light and easy to carry.These work well, and a good value at a reasonable price.
