I have basically stopped using the little green cans on my buddy heater because I can go and get my propane tank filled for the same price and it'll last me a week running every day for a couple hours. Definitely good quality hose and cheaper than the one they sell at box stores. I like the design where the regulator is at the tank so there's not high pressure propane in the line to the heater, it's a little safer and makes for good longevity of the hose and heater.

So I ordered this hose and it’s not going to work, wrong type of fitting, my mistake.After looking at the situation I decided to go a completely different direction and don’t need the hose, it’s never been used. I have tried to return it at least a half dozen times and was basically ghosted, now it says the $40.00 hose that I have no use for is not returnable! Fairly certain it never stated that anywhere when I ordered it.

New hose fixed the issue that was happening because the old regulator would stop allowing gas through.

The Big Buddy has a quick connect inside the right-side doorway next to the screw on propane connection. You do not need to buy an additional fuel filter. I have used four 20 lb propane tanks without any problems. You could attach up to three propane tanks of various sizes to the big buddy at once. Connect one with the quick connect and then screw on a propane hose line to each side if you want three 20 lb tanks connected at once. Not necessary but it's possible. I pay $14 to fill a 20 lb tank in Los Angeles. I use the propane heater inside the living room of my four bedroom house. At the highest setting the big buddy warms up the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway. No harm running it inside the house or even my bedroom with the door closed. I even watched a video on YouTube of a guy who tested the buddy heater inside his sealed up camper overnight with a carbon monoxide detector and it never detected a loss of oxygen. Be careful to keep the rubber hose behind the heater because I had accidentally left the hose unattended near the front grill of the heater and the grill melted the hose and it began to leak while I was in my backyard. Thanks be to God that I noticed it in time. I ended up buying a propane hose that has stainless steel braiding which protects the hose from damage.

Works great with no problems. Been using it with no filters and have not had anyissues yet. Have used six 20 lb tanks so far. I will get a filter in the future though!
