Hanger Bolts are perfect for knockdown furniture, and for joining table legs to aprons when used with our Corner Brackets for Table Aprons. Pointed end of hanger bolt screws into a pilot hole in wooden member, while the other serves as a machine threaded stud that accepts a nut, T-nut or threaded insert. Deep screw threads bite into the wood to eliminate stripping and pull-out problems. Can be used with T-nuts, threaded inserts or standard nuts. Can be used with steel corner braces and clinch nut plates for attaching table legs and apron rails

Using a standard metal powertape for measuring, the hanger bolts measure at being 4/16, so they don't fit what ordered them for. I would return them but I dropped one and it rolled to where I can't reach it for returning them.

Worthless. Every hanger bolt in a pack of 8 was bent slightly where the wood thread meets the metal thread, meaning that a plumb hole in the wood piece results in a threaded stud that sticks out at an angle. There's litteraly no way to install these so the mated parts line up.

The hanger bolts that I recieved were a very soft, rough metal. They were too weak to drive into soft wood that had a correct pilot hole, using either a driver tool or two nuts. I returned them.These might work well enough for hanging light-weight things such as a small security camera. For table legs and similar uses, they might be too weak. I damaged several and tried various approaches before giving up. Years ago, hanger bolts made from good steel were very useful - these are not those old time hanger bolts.Two stars for the product, but one star added because of no issues returning.
