This does take a bit of deduction and reasoning to understand the instructions enough to install properly. That said, I was successful in utilizing this fuel level gauge, once I realized the instructions say to cut just the Gray wire, to be able to use it on 565-33 ohm FUEL sending units (3 wire) I used this to utilize a cheap scooter fuel sending unit, to custom build a fuel gauge. Since there's no modifications been done on one that I've seen before. But it's an uncommon resistance range. Very happy to have found a cheap one that was able to utilize the 565-33 ohm range. I did have to modify the bracket it came with, since the bracket to mount it was meant for very thin material. Bracket is sturdy, but overall construction is plastic and feels rather lite. Very low profile and would work better on a metal panel. However I had to chop the edges down to half to be able to get the screws on to allow for the thicker plastic on my dashboard.Will update on the quality of the gauge, When I get more testing and hard trail riding in. I do see it fluctuates a lot. But I have a small 4 gallon tank, with no baffles. So it tends to slosh around a lot. Hope this helps.
