The addition of a lens hood can help prevent flares-those circles of light that can accompany images where a strong light source is just outside the frame. Professional tulip shape design (also known as 'flower' or 'petal' shape) allows for greater versatility. Perfect for standard or zoom lenses. Easy to use screw mount lens hood screws right onto your lens or filter. Features a rear locking ring to allow user to rotate the hood in either direction and capture the exact amount of shading desired. Lens hoods also have the added benefit of providing extra protection to your lens from accidental bumps or scratches.
Lens hood is compatible with the all lenses that have a 52mm thread:

Don't like how it screws onto the lens and doesn't clip on. But it works I guess 3/5

Fit my Nikon D3300 perfectly, helps with sun glare.

Like the fact that it can be adjusted for times when the sun is coming at the camera lens from the side by rotating it. Just don't like that it can't be taken off and reversed for storing the camera in a camera bag.

Bought it for my new Brightin Star 35mm F/0.95 Lens for Sony E-Mount, but when I tried screwing it into the lens, it didn't fit properly and would skip instead of tightening past a certain point. Even if you stop tightening it right as its starting to feel like it's tight (right before it strips itself off the thread), it will still pop off if you so much as touch it wrong. The plastic feels cheaper than I expected, but for less than $10 I can't really complain about the quality. The main issue is that it just didn't fit, even on its specified thread size.

Came a day earlier than expected. Which means I can use it over the weekend! It was a pleasant surprise given the USPS delivery system but the product fits my lens I planned it for. If I have the larger petals top and bottom, the lens hood does not show when zoomed out. Dropped it on the hard floor and it didn’t break. I’d buy it again!

Seems perfect. Attachment was easy since it fit my 52 mm skylight lens protector. Novel (to me) is the knurled ring that allows for tightening the hood in the position that suits the purpose. The hood is screwed on, then the knurled ring it loosened from its furthest out position to an inner position that tightens against the lens. Material is perfect for my travels, and nice hard rubber/plastic and more likely to take a bump than a real nice aluminum one. Again, seems perfect. Nikon D3300 with the Nikkor 18-55 telephoto lens and only sight vignetting.
