I needed to attach a tiny eye-hook to a piece of resin. All the drill bits on hand were too big; the eye hook wasn’t capable of self tapping into the resin. The micro sized bit simplified the task 100%.

I purchased this set to replace a Hobbico pen drill that I've had for decades and needed some different sized bits. This comes with an amazing assortment and I figured it'd do what I needed it to do to repair, maintain, and assemble various model train accessories, locomotives, and rolling stock. On the very first use, even taking it slow and as much caution as one could, immediately snapped the 1.0 mm and the 0.6 mm color coded bits. These were the two sizes I needed and I have yet to try other sizes as I haven't needed to yet but am not certain that I want to try them. I'm working with plastic after all and one would expect that a metal drill bit of most any composition should hold up, especially under the light use conditions as I have need for. The other bagged bits, it's no wonder there are multiples of each size as they may not hold up either. The pen vise itself appears very well made and I'm sure I'll get many years of use from it. Beware the bits though, at least the individual color coded ones in their own case...

Sometimes a drill is just too big of a tool. I needed tiny bits with a more precise way not to splinter/fracture small plastic parts I drill for model airplanes. This kit was inexpensive, came with a ton of tiny bits. The driver handle isn't the absolute smoothest I've ever used (compared to something like iFixit handles, for example), but it does just fine for making small holes in plastic.

This fulfills a niche in my modeling where a Dremel cuts too fast and would make a mess. This pin vise/hand drill with a tungsten carbide bits this cuts like a dream, is stable, yet still quite controllable. I bought this so I had larger shank capacity for using a wider variety of bits when fixing broken weapon shafts for my miniatures’ weapons. Pining with brass rods or wire is faster and easier, resulting in more durable and stable minis for table top gaming. I highly recommend this if you are working with resin or plastic minis which could use the additional strength added to a spindly parts connection.

Nice complete set, very easy to setup and use, lots of bits, was inexpensive but you get a lot of bits, a little small but should help if you need to be precise, light weight but seems sturdy,

Bought this for opening PCB board pass throughs but I do a lot of custom wood work for myself along with guitars, so this set will be getting a lot of use. Drills are very sharp, love the handle. Would buy again and may just to have another set.
