This item is cheaply made. It does not function well and continues to slip. It’s also relatively small. If you’re looking for something quick and maybe a single use or something for a small project then maybe I can see this working well for you.

This is a handy tool if you're new to needle punching. It isn't super high quality but it's nice enough that you shouldn't have to replace it for quite some time. It comes with three sizes the largest being able to fit bulky yarn easily. This craft is a great way to use up either scraps or large amounts of yarn quickly. I love that the resulting fabric makes even cheap acrylic yarn feel nice. It also comes with a simple needle threader which you'll need so make sure you don't lose it. If you do you can recreate on with some thin craft wire and a sticker or two on the end.

The different size needles that come in this set are good for figuring out how the differences work with the various yarns. It's a snap to change the size and experiment. The metal is smooth inside and out, but the hole in the needle and the inside of the wood handle seem to cause the yarn to hang up a bit and drag, rather than feed through smoothly. That resistance causes some stitches to pull out rather than stay where they were placed in the fabric.It comes with a very long needle threader, and the handle is comfortable. It's an easy adjustment for changing or shortening the needles. The largest needle is 4 mm, which would translate to a #13 or thereabouts. Not as big as a #10. There are two smaller ones included too. If the roughness doesn't bother you, it's a good value.
