Sizing, installing and linking the Hisuekig chain were all pretty straightforward; I used it to replace a stretched-out chain on my mountain bike. I also used the old chain to size this one. To size with the old chain, make sure it’ll make the shift to the two largest gears, leaving a slight bend in the two rear pulleys. Then shift to the two smallest gears, making sure there isn’t slack hanging down and that the rear derailleur doesn’t pull back so far that the chain contacts itself. Once removed, line up the old and new chain link to link to match the correct size. If you’re going to use the quick link, be sure to include it in the length. Also make sure that the ends of each chain match, that is, both outer or both internal links at the same end. I ended up chopping off five or six links to get the length right.I did find my self fumbling around a bit with the so called “quick link” connection that’s included; however, I’ll attribute that to my lack of experience with that type of link. The quick link is basically two halves of a full link, and slides together on both sides. It’s been some time since I’ve used a master link, and when I did, it was the ones that have an expansion pin on one side. Until now, I’ve just been using a chain breaking tool to separate and reconnect chains. I could have done that with this chain, but thought I’d give the quick link a try. Since it’s symmetrical on both sides, there’s no direction of travel indication. The Hisuekig chain weighs 18g less than the OEM chain I replaced, which on one hand is positive, but on the other leaves me wondering where in the fabrication the material strength is made up. The seller’s explanation is this: “Quenching and heat treatment makes the chain impact resistant, one-piece stamping structure, high rigidity forging process, can withstand high strength instantaneous explosive force.” Okay, we’ll see.I haven’t put many miles on the chain yet, but shifting has immediately improved, however the fact that the old chain was stretched out and this one isn’t, likely accounts for at least some of that. But that’s why a chain is replaced anyway, as regular, routine maintenance. So far, no complaints or criticism of the Hisuekig bike chain. In addition, the color plating makes for a cool look; the pictures I include don’t really do it justice.

The chain on my ebike needed replaced badly. I was tired of fixing the thing. This chain fit my sprockets perfectly and feels much sturdier than my old stock chain. I love the color. It looks great on my blue bike. It was easy to adjust the length to what I needed. I am really happy with the quality and the cool color of this chain. I'm giving it a yes.
