They are fairly heavy duty. The handle is a little small for the size of the clamp and the spot that clamps is not flat (has a bit of a curve to the surface). Despite this it worked well for what I needed.

These clamps are about as durable as any in this price range and most cost more. I've bought 8 of these over the past couple years and so far only one failed under about 100lbs pressure.
