There is a noticeable curve to the bottom of the clamp which makes clamping items trouble some, as the more you clamp the more it pushes to the side.

These came quickly, and are a good price, and don't appear to be Chinese-made (or they'd certainly be embossed as such, given Xi's penchant for such). And they do function as c-clamps. You'd thus think that the manufacturer would be proud of them.Why, then, is the paint falling off of them? Just guessing, but I'd speculate that they are using a low-volatile paint, not a powdered paint necessitating a subsequent baking booth. This is a very, very cheap, inadequate method, and is far below the tool-making industry standard. Frankly, based upon experience, I would expect this sort of thing from the Chinese.

i've owned a few c clamps over the years and these are the lowest quality of the bunch....sloppy tolerance and loose fitting and shallow jaws .... they are the absolute minimum in mass production entry level c clamps .... if i was a professional employed man needing reliable precision tough c clamps for regular use these would be quite inadequate but i am a retired DIYer who only needs these clamps for one time use on one project so they'll do i hope.
