My kid went to a circus camp this summer and started learning to use a Diabolo, and I wanted to encourage him to keep going after camp ended, instead of spending more time on screens. This one looked nice, the sticks and strings seem to be high quality, and the drawstring bag it comes with is a nice touch. But, the yoyo itself was warped in transit on both sides, so it doesn't balance well. It's also really tight and doesn't spin well on its bearings. My kid was super excited when it arrived, and came inside crying after trying to use it for 10 minutes. Trying to help him for another 15 did nothing to lower his frustration. And I know it wasn't simply a practice/user error situation, because I'd been watching him enjoy learning on the ones at his camp the entire week prior. Some instructions on stringing it would have been nice as well, though we made due with improvised knots at a length that seemed ok to us. Overall, this thing needs better packaging and attention to detail if it's going to be a good choice for younger users.

My son started to learn this at summer camp. Bought this one and he is loving it. The yo-yo is flexible enough that it won’t hurt him, yet still firm enough for him to learn new tricks.
