Old housing was leaking diesel, installed the new parts and it no longer leaks. I used the new cast part as well because my old one was leaking where the nipple screws in. Truck feels more powerful and responsive paired with a new STC as well.

The spring didn't even fit in the holder that literally came in the same package as the spring... I had to drill it out to make it work and almost ruined it doing so.The gasket it came with and the cover were garbage and leaked gas all over the place no matter how tight I made it. Took it off and threw it all in the garbage. Put the original ford cover and gasket back on.

I installed this blue spring kit to save money over the ford part. I figured its just a spring no sense in spending $70 at the dealer when its $30 on amazon with so many great reviews. After installing this product i drove my truck a few hundred miles and noticed a drop in fuel economy. I checked the fuel pressure at the filter base with a manual gauge and it was 80 psi at idle. According to ford this is max output of the fuel pump if its dead headed. I removed the spring and it was bent from being compressed so much it had actually flexed in the housing. This was locking the relief closed not allowing it to move and maxing out my pump. Im sure not everybody has had this problem but im also sure that most people wouldn't necessarily check theyre pressure a second time even if economy dropped thinking that it might be because the pressure was raised slightly. Just to clarify this spring update if working correctly should slightly increase fuel economy. If your fuel economy has dropped check your pressure again. It should be close to 60 psi with a proper blue spring. I purchased a kit from my local ford dealer for $68 with tax. When i compared the two blue springs the ford spring was almost four coils shorter and the the diameter of the spring wire itself was much thicker on the cheap spring. Save yourself some headache buy the ford kit. My blue spring upgrade cost me almost $100 when i could have just spent $68 at the dealer. The engines are very expensive to repair dont buy cheap parts. Its never worth it in the long run.

Everything worked great to me except the bolts. Granted, if you are replacing just the regulator you will probably have no issue with these bolts. I replaced my entire housing and regulator. This being said, the housing I received came without thereads, so I used a slightly thicker type of screw. The type I used is self tapping with a 5/16 head. If you are replacing the housing along with the regulator I recommend doing this or tapping out the 4 hole slots to fit the bolts given. I have no current leaks. Although I haven’t noticed a power increase, everything fit as should. I am very pleased with the product and cost of the product.

I used the stock housing for no other reason than that I couldn't remove the male fitting from it lol. So, I have a 2003 F250 6.0L powerstroke diesel. I ordered this part just as a preventative maintenance measure. The day it arrived (Friday) I was at work. When I drove to lunch my truck started running and idling rough. I don't know much about diesels but I know that a rough idle has something to do with the internal combustion. An injector, fuel, air intake, something. Anyhow, I got home and went ahead and installed the blue spring and all the seals. The truck is still idling rough but no where near as bad! So I did some research and discovered that I have a low ficm voltage output. Meaning the injectors aren't getting enough power to function correctly. But, even with that issue, this spring has increased the fuel pressure enough to subside the extremely rough idle that a bad ficm causes. That's awfully impressive! Anyhow, I'll be installing a new ficm this week. I'll post an update on how it's running afterwards.

All I really bought this for was the spring. Spring did seem to be more heavy-duty. Some of the o-rings in the kit we're not sized right so I had to use my old ones. It would have been nice to be able to change out the o-rings with new ones to provide longer-lasting and new seals. You guys who compiled this get together really should fix the issue that many people have had purchasing this kit and put it in the proper size o-rings. I also used my old metal housing because the one with the kit had metal burrs that weren't cleaned off properly so I didn't want to risk metal shavings getting into my fuel system. Along with this the threads we're not done properly so I couldn't even thread to the fuel line fitting into it.Again I did only purchase this for the spring but seriously if you're going to provide a kit at least provide good parts and good o rings and the gaskets.

Good rebuild/ upgrade kit. But any review telling you that you’ll feel a power difference is BS. I believe it’s a good kit and will help prolong injector life but you’re not gonna feel a difference in power or boost. Still a great kit, I used it to repair a leaking O ring and it did exactly that.

UPon visually comparinng this kit with the 65 dollar one at the auto parts store. I can say they are the same. This being said; there are some goods and bads about this kit. first the goods. This is definitely worth doiong if you have a bit of a cold start problem. there is also noticible throttle response improvement on the highway. the two bad things about this kit and others like it. first..... on the new cover piece, the threads on the return pipe hole are rough they required so much turning in and out of the pipe fitting to fit the threads then there were shall metal shavings that had to be blown out. (no it wasn't cross threaded.). I finally tossed this part and used the original. The other bad, which isn't an issue on the newer moddel 6.0, but on mine, there is a black plastic sleeve that snaps into the fuel cup. the only way it willl actually snap in is with the correct seal. The o ring that campe with this kit for this sleeve was too big to do this for my truck. so I seated it in the hole and put the sleeve in front of it. This seal lasted for 2 days. So, a quick trip to the harware store netted an o ring of the same diameter but with a thinner wall. The sleve snaped in truck runs great.
