I am somewhat dissatisfied with 60 Pack Mosquito Repellent Bracelets, DEET-Free Mosquito Bands for Adults & Kids, Individually Wrapped Repellent Wristbands, Camping Travel Beach Essentials. I forgot to take them with me when I went camping! That was my fault. But I did break them out when we had our block party. Many of our neighbors got together to share food and games in the middle of the street where we live. The bugs were bad, so I got out my box of mosquito repellent bracelets and gave them away.We did not have any trouble with mosquitos. So they do work as advertised! But we were inundated with gnats. The gnats were awful! They flew in our eyes, up our nose, in our food, in our mouths when we tried to talk. I've never had such a trouble with gnats!Looking back on that event, I guess we should have gotten out some citronella candles, or lit vanilla scented candles or sprayed ourselves with peppermint oil. I can't really down-grade a mosquito repellent because it doesn't stop gnats. But what I do question is letting kids wear them. The neighborhood children all took a mosquito repellent bracelet. And then they proceeded to suck on them and chew on them. I cautioned the parents, explaining that these bracelets were bug repellents, but they didn't seem to care. The kids LOVED the bracelets. They started taking more than one. One child had four on- on each wrist and ankle, and had several more opened in her pockets. I eventually took the box of bracelets away. But I can't get over seeing that all of the children had put the bracelets in their mouths. All of them! Even those old enough to know better. I will never recommend putting these bracelets on a child again.

Where we live we have so many mosquitoes and this worked so well I didn’t even get bit as much as we usually do even with the regular bug spray

I wasn't sure what to expect, but these seem like a great alternative to bug spray.I really don't like using bug spray. It leaves me feeling dirty and icky, and I want to shower as soon as possible after applying it so I don't spread or rub the (toxic) spray on clothes, furniture, or anything else where I don't want to go.These bracelets are easy to put on, they don't smell or feel as toxic, and I can easily remove them without feeling like I need to take a shower.I wondered why the every single bracelet is packaged in a ziplock bag. Aren't they disposable? If so, why would the bag need a ziplock closure? I realized one of the great features of these bracelets - you can put them to run outside for a few minutes, and then take it off when you get back in. That's not long enough for the bracelet to lose its effectiveness, so put it back into the recloseable bag and save it for later. Brilliant! So - how well do they work? I'm not sure. I haven't gotten into any bug-infested areas because I generally avoid them! I really don't want to subject myself to biting bugs. Here's what I've tested: I have an area where lots of little bugs have been swarming recently, so I put on two bracelets - one on my right wrist and another on my right ankle (I was wearing shorts). I didn't put any on my left side. More little knat-like bugs landed (and stayed) on my left arm/leg than on the right (where the bracelets were). I still had bugs on both sides, but I found fewer where the bracelets were. This doesn't necessarily prove anything - perhaps the bug source location was closer to my left side, but I think it showed that the bugs preferred to avoid the bracelets. I'll continue to find ways to test it.One of the other things I like about these bracelets is that I can wear multiple bracelets - one on each arm and leg, and I kinda wonder if wearing TWO in each of those locations would help even more. Because the bracelets stretch out so much, I could put additional ones further up on my arm or legs, and even around my neck. I will continue to experiment.
