Cleanly cut, unblemished aluminum bar, cut to advertised dimensions. Comes safely wrapped, to prevent rings and scratches, so you won't need as much final finishing depending on your project. Could not be happier.

This aluminum bar is perfect for making an assembly jig that I need. Its flat and the surface finish is protected by a plastic peel. That leaves the surface finish very nice. There are a lot of saw marks on the edges. So if you want the edge finished, you've got some work to do.The dimensions advertised are true. The bar is just packaged in plastic bag. So, damage is possible in shipping depending on the outer packaging. Mine arrived just fine.I don't have anyway to test the alloy of the aluminum, so I'll have to take the suppliers' word that it is 6061 Aluminum. Overall, I'm very happy with the bar -- a good item to keep in shop for jig making!

I bought the item described as both 3/8" x 2" x10 " AND 10mm x 50mm x 254mm. In my world, it canm'y be both, so I wasm't sure what I was going to get. Fortunately, I got what I wanted, a 10mm thick piece of aluminum (.394") ...NOT .375" I wish the description would state what it actually is, and not try to be both. I lucked out on the dimensions, but who's to say others will.Next, it is NOT a bar... it is cut from a plate/sheet, and there are saw cuts on all 4 sides... rather rough ones on the sides I would add. By the time I got the saw marks off the sides, I was left with 49.77mm of width... ok for my use, but if you need a full 50mm, this might not fit the bill.It's a decent product, but needs a better description

The listed dimensions are 12mm thick, 50mm wide and 254 long.The actual dimensions on my sample:12.21mm thick (by caliper)50.69 wide at one end, 50.99 at the other (by caliper)253mm long (tape measured)Overall, it is way better to have oversize than undersize as you can at least trim it down. Although if you need it exact or closer to it you should look elsewhere.I'm always suspicious when a dimension is listed as 1/2" (12mm), because the two are not equivalent.This is part way between, closer to the 12mm than the 1/2 inch.So you are kind of out of luck on both thickness wise and that is usually the dimension you want to be accurate.For the price, you can find either actual 12mm or 1/2" cheaper.As bar stock (my use) its ok. I can mill it down to 12mm or what ever I need. I usually buy more material for this price so it's not that great a deal compared to what is out there. It's not a great deal to anyone looking for 12mm or 1/2" because it's neither.Sort of no mans land, which is why it got the lower rating.The material itself came undamaged and plastic coated on both surfaces which were scratch free. If that matters to you.

I picked up this stock for use on my cnc mill. Not a lot to say about it other than I can confirm it is aluminum of the same quality as everything else I get. It's straight, cuts just fine, nothing stands out about it which is all I want out of aluminum stock. If you need some for your mill this will do the job.
