No instructions included. Once I figured out how to install, it worked great halfway through first race. Then it freezes all controls and throttle is wide open. So if you like your handbrake override your inputs and make you crash your car and ruin your race, this is a great product.

This aluminum hand-brake came from the Dyno Racing Store and was priced at $84 when ordered. First impressions were good. The packing was well done with dense black foam and the unit arrived quickly. The brake looks good from clamp to base to shaft. The construction is mostly metal and solid overall, although the control box is plastic. The control box is wraped with a carbon vinyl material and looks decent. Connection is done via a usb type C connection, while an additional usb type A port was also present. The table clamp worked well and kept the unit in place as intended. The only down side I could see during the unboxing is the foam grip. It compacts easily and needs to be wrapped with racket grip tape to be comfortable. As is, the grip feels terrible, but the rest of the unit looks good quality. The problems started when I plugged it into a Windows 11 PC with a USB hub. Without extra power input to the hub, the handbrake disconnected everytime I pulled it. With auxiliary power added to the hub functionality was better and the unit stopped disconnecting. (If you use a usb hub with no additional power infusion, this unit may not function.) I then started testing the response in diView to test the range and calibrate the unit. At first the unit would go to 80% when the brake was pulled, then down to %50 when pulled further (not 90% then 100% as expected). I unpluged the unit, reset the program and tried again. It then registered 0-100% as intended, but would stick at 100% for a additional second after released. After pulling it a few more times, the 50% over 80% behavior returned. I unpluged the unit, plugged it directly into the PC and got the same results. I tested with a different cable, with the same results. There were no instructions in the box and the post says the unit is plug and play with no drivers needed. At this point I don't know what else to try and must assume the sensor is faulty.A brake must function consistently to be useful, unfortunately this unit doesn't seem to be able to. The material and construction looks good, but the unpredictable inputs from this unit make it essentially unusable.

The first one I returned after I set up as it said in the description and didn’t work. The red light would come on, a green light would flash and then nothing. While waiting for a replacement I read about other versions/ brands and watched some videos. When the replacement arrived again with no instructions, I connected it and same result. I finally switched the wheel setting to ps4 (I am using this on a ps5).Then turned on the console, pressed the red button on the hand break, the wheel then does its power cycle spinning lock to lock. When the wheel completes its cycle press O button on the wheel, the press PlayStation button and select the accessory (G9). The hand break then works. Construction is pretty solid, however several times in the middle of gaming the wheel will lock up randomly and none of the buttons/ pedals respond. This is the handbrake needing to be reset, which can be super frustrated especially when in the middle of a flyer. The G9 never did this before the handbrake addition. I am definitely looking for a quality solution to replace this with.

I recently bought a budget racing sim setup, and they were great. I was missing the hydro hand brake. I came across this one and wanted to give it a try. The built quality is very good on these, very solid, steel everywhere, there is no plastic and it also has a little carbon fiber panel. They are adjustable, you can adjust the height and spring based on your preference, and they work like a charm. It was super easy since I got a PC, I didn't have to download any drivers, it was just plug-and-play. When I get into games, it will auto-detect the brake, so you can assign it to it. If you want to plug it into your play station, it comes with a cable you can plug it in. The only thing I would say is the packaging does not come with a weird user manual. Maybe they forgot to put it in? Overall, it worked out great for me, the response is instant, very stable and strong, I would recommend this 10/10.
