It fits... Sort of. Bought to replace the cracked tank on my 20+ y.o. MTD. The part fits, but the top mounting screw holes were off by just a smidge. Tools some coaxing to get them all in.

For the most part this tank fits my B&S push mower. The bottom mounting hole was difficult to line up with the threaded hole in the body of the engine. It is offset just enough to required quite a bit of downward force to get the bolt to thread properly. This one also came with a fuel line and a shutoff valve. The fuel line was way, way to small and made of very cheap plastic so I had to reuse the original fuel line which was still in great shape. Fortunately the shutoff valve fit the orginal fuel line perfectly but the clamps that came with it was slightly undersized but I was able to make them work. Also, make sure you keep the original gas cap from the old tank if it is still good. The gas cap that this one came with would not allow air into the tank to displace the fuel as the fuel is being consumed. This caused the engine to cut of after a few minutes due to the lack of fuel flow.
