I love this humidifier. I love: that it can give off cool or warm mist, you can change the direction of where the mist is going, that it lasts for many hours and shuts off automatically or you can set a timer if you want. I find it very quiet. The fact that it shows the humidity level on the screen is very helpful. My winters are very dry and cold so for me the warm mist helps a lot especially with my dry eyes and nasal passages. Very easy to use with clear buttons on the front, to pick warm or cool mist, the humidity level, mist level and timer if you choose. I bought a water distiller as well to make my distilled water to use as I want to run this day and night rright now!!!

We bought this to replace an older, more expensive humidifier that quit working after only using for 2 winters. This humidifier has a very large water tank that is easy to fill. Instead of having to remove/fill/replace the actual water tank, we just use a pitcher and fill it from the top of the tank. It has several options for running either cold or hot, with a timer, or sleep setting, and the vapor disperser is adjustable with a simple turn of the mechanism. It works great in the bedroom to offset the very dry, winter air, and my husband has remarked how much better he feels since we got it. It makes very little noise, and the tank holds enough water for more than 2 nights of use. We haven't used the included oil diffuser, but it's nice to have the option. All in all, we are very pleased with this humidifier, though we can't speak to its longevity at this point.

My house has been extremely dry this winter using the heat pump, and on the coldest mornings, boosted with a few hours of a kerosene heater. Indoor humidity has been steady around 21% to 25%. So I finally decided I needed a humidifier and after perusing a dozen models in Amazon's pages, decided on this model. It arrived promptly in 3 or 4 days and following the direction sheet, was easy to set up. I have it in my small bedroom, but it has raised the overall humidity in the entire house. I know this because I have temp/humidity gauge in bedroom, living room and bathroom. Thishumidifier raised the humidity in the house to 36% overnight, and even after shutdown for 5 hours today, it has remained there. The controls are easy and intuitive to understand, so control of the unit is easy. I only have one minor gripe but it's not a problem, as I already have a scent dispenser mister. The scent tray in the back at the bottom is very small and does nothing to add any scent to the mist stream coming out the top. Even putting in warm water and setting the unit to 'warm mist' setting made no difference here. But on the high mist setting, it pumps out copious amounts of mist. The built in sensor (wired) I recommend placing in a upright position instead of flat, because if mist from the unit styles directly onto the sensing grill, you'll get artificially high readings. Probably best to mount it on the wall behind the unit away from the mist trail. Overall I am pretty pleased with it. It is meeting my expectations. Tonight, the humidity level is rising to around 40%. My target is between 48 and 52%. It works well, I don't think mold growth will be a problem here. The design is well thought out, the control interface is cool green, and can be put to sleep if it bothers you. The plastic is smooth and will be easy to clean with a sponge or cloth. I believe most folks will be happy with this lil' baby.EDIT #2: Regarding the scent tray on the back, I tried again. This time I saturated the little white cloth in the bottom completely with sandlewood drops till it was completely soaked corner to corner. About 15-20 drops. After assembling, filling with warm water, setting it up for warm mist at 60% humity and on high mist output, I finally got some decent scent output at the top with the mist output. Experimentation is what you'll need to do with yours to achieve your desires results. 😎

If half stars were an option, I would go with 4.5 stars. I rounded up because my complaints are minor and nothing that would prevent me from buying this again.I initially bought one of these to run near my houseplants, which also happens to be my home office – I live in a fairly dry climate (30-40% humidity) and they were suffering for it. I have it running constantly. It worked so well (the plants are looking great), and I personally started feeling better, that I ordered another for each of the family bedrooms to run while we are sleeping.Pros: Quiet, easy operation, large capacity, humidity target setting, looks nice, low price pointCons: LED display color, must reset the humidity target each timeOverall, I like the look of this unit and have found it pretty easy to operate. If I had another space that needed a humidifier, I would order another (unless there were a version that incorporated the potential improvements identified below). Filling the tank is easy – whether I pour from a gallon of distilled water or lift it off to bring to the tub or sink to refill. I’ve used it with both distilled water and my (very hard) tap water. A full tank lasts a couple days when running constantly, and the unit goes into standby if it does run low. It’s reasonably quiet - not noticeable in my home office; more noticeable in my silent bedroom when I’m trying to sleep, but still not bothersome. I mostly hear water drips, and that can sometimes be pleasant.I like that I can set the desired humidity, and the unit will adjust in an attempt to keep it near that level (running when below the target, reducing the mist level when it gets nearer the target, and going into standby when it reaches the target). Some notes here: (1) the sensor is (understandably) attached to the unit, and the humidity will be highest near the unit – so it’s not so much measuring the humidity of the room as the humidity of the area near the unit, and (2) you must reset the desired humidity level each time you turn on the unit.Potential improvements:LED display color – the display lights up green, and there is no way to change or dim this. In a dark bedroom, this is fairly bright. In our bedroom, we turned the unit towards the wall (which makes turning it on/off and re-setting the humidity target somewhat cumbersome, but even then, it lights up the wall and isn’t much better. I wish the display were red, or I could set it to red (red light causes the least disruption to both night vision and the body's natural melatonin production, while green light appears harsher in a fully dark room and can still interfere with sleep cycles to a certain extent).I wouldn’t expect this at this price point, but if it could be connected to a smart home with sensors elsewhere in the room, that could improve the humidity/temp reading on the display. This could also be handy for low water notifications and setting schedules (I run it in my bedroom during sleep, but not throughout the day when no one is in there).
