construction is beefy. need a 10mm wrench to tighten bolt; might be better to use a wingnut or thumbscrew for convenience. I used a couple of these to secure a button cell battery in a pair of vernier calipers where I lost the cover which holds the battery in place. Kind of bulky solution but better than throwing the calipers away.

Only the hole with the bolt is 8mm, the other two are 6mm. Wish I had read all the reviews before purchasing.
