Product worked well to install a round handrail along an outside set of steps. Make sure you pre-drill and use the correct phillips bit to install. I just wish the cover plate locked into position instead of relying on gravity alone. I may have to put a dab of silicone on them to hold in the proper position.

The brackets are sturdy and well made, however the wall anchors are pretty worthless, the screws seem to be too small for anchors to expand enough. Plus was missing a few I wish the covers locked into place, seems like a minor production adjustment. Regardless, ordering more so they will all match.

I wanted to add a second handrail for the bedroom stairs on my 5th wheel. These are well made and although I've done welding for years, for the price and good quality of these brackets, it wouldn't be worth my time to make these.I bought a 1" round piece of .065 metal tubing. Easy to drill and screw on to these brackets. What's great is that once you locate the studs in the wall, these can then be placed on the handrail accordingly.5 stars - great brackets to make for an easy project.Note: these would probably fit an 1 1/2" round tube. I was able to very easily close up the shape to fit 1" round.
