Bought these to help with tie-dying. Wanted to make tie-dying mandalas more achievable for my kids. Tying sinew is a lot of fun but very labor intensive. I wanted something that would be easier and faster for little hands and honestly my hands! I have a medical background and know that these are not very good quality hemostats but they are just fine for arts and crafts work. I did put a fair amount of strain on them for the one project I've used them for so far and they held up just fine. At this price point, you really don't get to be too picky. These are great a value as they're enormous! If they break I won't feel too bad about having to replace them as they weren't a huge out of pocket expense.

I do tie dying & use hemostats. The hemostats can put holes in the fabric & by using the tubing on the end of the stats it works out beautifully. I just use a lighter to shrink the tubing, works great.

I use these for tie dye. They work really well. The clamp holds tight and they are well-made. Will be buying another set.
