It mounted right up without a problem and started right up too! Everything in the kit fit well except the plugs, but ran like a top!

Bought this kit for the carb and gaskets. Carb sits on intake manifold w/ an arch between the carb and manifold. Nothing about this sits flush. Even if it did you'll be hard pressed to get the correct gaskets. The ones that ship are no where the thickness of the OEM parts. Do yourself a favor and buy authentic B&S parts for your B&S engine. You'll save time and frustration in the long run.

This carb cured my piping and back firing problems. Never could figure out the problem with my old one.

Went on a D160 24HP engine. I think the entire package is good. The choke seems flimsy compared to a different aftermarket carburetor, meaning it seems unstable and can rotate like 270°. The paper gaskets had to be cut and rounded so the shutter could open and close completely.

Once installed, it did the same thing the original carb was doing. It would only run on choke. It turned out that the inside of the fuel line attached to the gas tank had dissolved into a goo and clogged the line after 17 years. I had never seen that before in 30 years. So, I recommend checking the fuel supply while testing. The old carb had bad O rings and oem pieces would cost more then the cost of this package. I am happy with the purchase. The spark plugs did not fit. The thread diameter is smaller than what a 21 HP Briggs uses and they use an 11/16" socket. I can't remember using 11/16" socket to remove a sparkplug in my 30 years either. I will have to research to see what the plugs are for.
