New Stainless Steel 410
410 stainless steel contains 11.5% chromium and has good corrosion resistance.
Comparison with 304/316 SS
410 grade stainless steel is resistant to heat, steam, food, mild acids, fresh water and dry air. 410 SS is ideal when your various indoor and outdoor applications require high strength, hardness and abrasion resistance along with some corrosion resistance. It requires no time-consuming and expensive maintenance.
Notice:
The surface of the screw is coated with maintenance oil. There is a slight smell. This is to better protect the screws, so you can use it with confidence and it will not affect your use at all.

Works great for pinning sheet aluminum to steel frames. I highly recommend a small pilot hole or use a punch if you are digging into harder metal though - while these do self tap, it's easy for them to go off center.

Works. Nice sharp cutting tip went easily through metal. Threads go all the way to the head so works on thin material as well. Includes double side philips bit.

These are nice length for simple jobs involving thinner materials around the house. The tips are self-tapping and sharp enough to penetrate wood easily. They are definitely best for wood. The only way they should be used with metal is if there were pre-drilled holds. At just over an inch long however, you probably wouldn't be thinking of using these for that use case anyway.

Also included with the fasteners was a single double-ended quarter-inch drive #2 Phillips driver.I can't assess the product claim that these are specifically 410 alloy stainless steel, but they are fairly magnetic, as would be normal for highly cold-worked 410 stainless steel. This set of 96 comes in a semi hard shell case and includes a double ended #2 Phillips bit. 410 stainless steel offers mild corrosion resistance thanks to its chromium content, and is commonly used in applications where the fasteners will not be exposed to constant moisture or any chemicals. If you need 24/7 rustproof fasteners look for 304 SS.Cheers

This isn't a large quantity of screws (70pcs) and it comes in a slim plastic case with a driver bit of self-tapping cap screws of about 2 inches long. My building has steel studs and having self-tappers is a must if I am to hang anything or screw anything of weight to the walls without using anchors. I also got these to connect metal brackets and sheets together and use it for what it is intended to do. Initially, I thought that the kit comes with various sizes because of the product pictures (it looks like there are 3 sizes); just be aware and read the product description as this clearly describes these screws as #8x2". Nice small kit of self tapping metal screws.

This is a good value for a good quantity of 100 5/8” length (metric size 8) sheet metal style hardware in a dark ebonized finish.Note that some of the listing pictures show this is as a multi sized set with various sizes. In person it is not a multi sized set, it’s the size selected in the listing at 5/8” (metric size 8). For this set, it’s the number metric 8 sized 5/8” length style in a darker ebonized metal. You get 100 of the same size (5/8” or metric size 8) not a variety set with multiple sizes.They come in a plastic sealed, hard plastic clear storage case that’s labeled, easy to open and close securely. The hardware is in an inner plastic bag, so you’ll have that inside the plastic storage case or you can empty them into the storage case. They also included a compatible dual ended Phillips style bit to use with them or your own compatible manual or powered device (bit is included, the manual or powered device isn’t included).This is a sheet metal self tap style vs a standard style, this can help with tougher materials and make them easier and quicker to use. The style of the top is a modified truss style. The length is shorter and smaller at 5/8” total length. They are constructed of 410 stainless steel in a darkened ebonized finish that’s resistant to rust and corrosion. They are sturdy, well made and nicely finished and they work well and look good.Be sure they are the right size, style, length and material for your use. They should work well for many materials and uses, particularly sheet and thin metal. The listing does have the measurements in the pictures and details so you may also want to refer to those for exact sizing.
