Review of #14 Deck Screws 6 Inch Exterior Decking Wood ScrewsWhen it comes to outdoor woodworking projects, the right hardware can make all the difference in ensuring quality and durability. I recently had the opportunity to test out the #14 Deck Screws 6 Inch Exterior Decking Wood Screws, and I must say, these heavy-duty fasteners are worthy of high praise.Durability and Corrosion ResistanceOne of the standout features of these screws is their exceptional corrosion resistance. With a specialized bronze coating that has been rigorously tested to withstand over 2000 hours of salt spray exposure, these screws are clearly engineered for longevity. I used them on a deck project exposed to varying weather conditions, and after several weeks, there were no signs of rust or degradation. This level of protection against the elements makes them an excellent choice for anyone looking to ensure their outdoor structures stand the test of time.Heavy-Duty Design for Superior Holding PowerUpon unboxing, I noticed the screws' beefier design compared to typical screws on the market. The #14 diameter paired with a 6-inch length provides robust holding power, which I found particularly beneficial when working with thick timbers. During my build, I appreciated the difference in performance; these screws didn't just grip well—they held everything tightly in place without the worry of bending or breaking, which is often a concern with lighter, flimsy screws.Innovative Drive HeadThe use of a T30 star bit for driving is another thoughtful touch. The advantage of a star drive over traditional Phillips heads is immediately noticeable; there’s drastically less risk of slipping or stripping during installation. I was able to drive these screws in with confidence, and even when I encountered tough materials, the torque remained steady. This aspect not only saves time but also leads to a cleaner finish on my projects.Ease of Use and Wood ProtectionA feature that really impressed me was the smooth shank near the head of the screws, designed to minimize wood splitting. When anchoring screws into softwood and hardwood alike, I found the unique reverse threading to be effective in preventing any splitting. This thoughtful design element not only saved me time but also ensured that my wood projects retained their intended appearance and structural integrity.Versatile ApplicationsWhat’s also worth noting is their versatility; these screws work seamlessly across various materials including thin sheet metal, PVCu, and ACQ-treated lumber. Whether it’s deck construction, fencing, or more extensive outdoor projects, these screws provide the reliability one would desire for demanding applications.ConclusionIn conclusion, the #14 Deck Screws 6 Inch Exterior Decking Wood Screws are a fantastic addition to any DIY enthusiast's toolkit or professional contractor's supply. Their durability, innovative design, and ease of use make them suitable for all types of outdoor projects. If you’re looking for screw options that assure both quality and performance in challenging conditions, I couldn't recommend these highly enough. They have certainly earned a permanent place in my construction arsenal.

Great screws! I used them to attach 4x4 post to a low rise walking ramp and the full threads made the posts tight. They went in super easy and the supplied bit worked great.

These are great screws! I mean I don't generally get excited about screws and wouldn't write home about these, but tbh they do have a lot of the "bells and whistles" that a screw could have--a torx drive, a reinforced neck, epoxy coating, self-tapping, and reversed threads at the top. It's strange to think about some screws being more luxury than others, but these are pretty high end for screws!

These deck screws are high quality and install easily with a power driver. The color of the screws help them blend more effectively into the wood, and they also don’t rust. This package of screws is a nicely designed size for use on a small project or simply when the occasional wood screw is needed for some sort of outdoor application. The plastic case holding the screws provide a great way to keep the stored and handy when needed, and the clips on the case lock very tightly. These are a nicely designed size quality deck screw that I would definitely order again.

These BNUOK #10 Deck Screws 4 Inch Exterior Decking Wood Screws Heavy-Duty Outdoor Torx Drive is just what I needed for my current project. I have screws in my tool box that are 2 inches to 3 inches in length, Almost right size..... but not right size. I have some screws that are right length but have philps heads. I got this set and they are perfect. my old screws are going back in the cabinet.I compared these BNUOK screws to my Dxxxxx screws and other than being slightly darker color, I do not see any difference. I am very pleased with these BNUOK Deck Screws.

The screws look good and the bronze (medium brown) epoxy coating isn't chipped so care was taken when they were packaged. The length is spot on and the count was accurate. They come in a flat pack plastic box that shuts tightly, and a bit is included. It's a fair price for this size and quantity of screw and the screws look to be of good quality. They'll be put to the test this spring.

These BNUOK #8 Deck Screws 2 Inch Exterior Decking Wood Screws Heavy-Duty Outdoor Torx Drive Head,Bronze Rust Resistant Epoxy Coated for Timber,Fence,T25 Star Bit (1Ib,107Pcs)BNUOK #8 Deck Screws 2 Inch Exterior Decking Wood Screws Heavy-Duty Outdoor Torx Drive Head compare favorably with the brand names offered by the local big box store - similar shape and design, similar size, similar number of screws per pound, included drive bit, similar price, etc. Despite the various manufacturers' best efforts, deck screws remain something of a commodity and one brand is easily substituted for another (in my uses).Use is identical and the samples drove well. The box is a bit unusual, being a flat plastic box, roughly 7x5, versus a cardboard box about 3x4x2.Overall, we rate this as a bit above middle of the road and, therefore, as a good buy. If you just need a few screws, it is somewhat difficult locally to find 1lb boxes, so this is worthwhile. If you are doing a whole deck, quantities of 5 or more pound boxes have lower unit prices.
