OD of this "#8 Screw" was .150 on the pack that I recieved. This is undersized, roughly halfway between a #6 and a #8

Bought these to replace the cheap flat head screws that came with the deck post skirts from another vendor. These look great and went easily into the 4x4 posts with no issues. The only problem is that the head immediately starts to rust - so 4 stars. Inevitably paint comes off the screw head when it's being installed. Bought a little can of oil-based paint to paint the screw heads and now they look fabulous. Would buy again

I used about 32 of them right away. Fastening brackets to some pretty old wood. No pre-drilling. All of them went in well and did not strip out.
