This is the most attractive charging dock I have found. I like that I don't have to fiddle with the controller to get the pins to align like others on the market. Despite its ease of use, it doesn't work. It has never fully charged the battery pack it came with. It only glows yellow, and it's been blinking on and off since I got it. Most annoying.

My previous rechargeable Xbox One controller solution slowly lost its ability to hold a charge, so I went searching for something to take its place. I have used 8Bitdo stuff in the past, and I've always been happy with their offerings, so I thought I'd try this charger. And I'm glad I did, because it's super great!The dock has a really cool mid-century lucite look, and the glowing light looks awesome. Each controller has its own glowing light, which is orange when the controller is charging and turns white when it completes its charge. So not only does it look cool, it's functional!So far the batteries take a good charge. I don't do any heavy gaming, and when I do game I don't use a headset or much vibration, so take that into consideration for my controller battery usage. But so far, I can leave the controller off the dock for weeks at a time before having to drop it in the dock again.Highly recommended! It looks cool, it does a good job, and it feels durable. I am hoping this is my long-term controller charging solution!

The charger works great, don’t get me wrong!I got it because of the brand and the looks! Super expensive for a charger but pretty good looking!The issue is: mine keeps flicking and changing colors all the time! No matter what I do, it keeps white and orange and flickering all the time!

Man I had my doubts about this but man it works great keeps my controllers charged effortlessly. I highly recommend. Had it working in 10 min tops. The biggest problem was getting the correct doors on the controller. Works great so far. Highly recommend.

I ordered this with unmoved controllers initially and they fit perfectly in the base. I loved the aesthetic, and functionality of this charging unit. IMHO it looks better than every other charging station on the market.I have since modded my controller, and it has extra grippy bottom sections now, which make my main controller not fit into this base.That is not any fault of the manufacturer, and I am still very pleased with my purchase and plan to implement it again when I start using different controllers for different tasks, the primary that this will be used for, are my controller for racing games and a basic stock controller, as neither of those applications come with any fitment issues for charging.I am happy to utilize the old rechargeable battery setup I had previously for now for my main/FPS controller that now has the grips and the short throw trigger setup.The blue when fully charged and orange when charging truly do look elegant, and aren't so bright as to impact any sort of game play I have going on while controllers sit in the charger.The only negative I can come up with, is to be anticipated prior to purchase, as dust buildup shows up fast on clear plastic. This will be worse or better than my experience depending on how well your home conditions it's air and how dusty that results is.This is nice enough I enjoy having it front and center on my cabinet that houses my Xbox. The Xbox can't be seen, as I'd prefer it that way, but this piece looks beautiful on top of that stand.I can't wait to get my setup finished so I am utilizing this beautiful charging station again.

Bought the 8BitDo charging station as I got tired of using AA batteries on my controller. This station is very nice. Comes with 2 batteries and 4 covers for your controller. I'm guessing 2 extra in case the original break. Charges quickly. I have only 2 nitpick issues but that may just affect me. For one, I personally would like the cable to be about 6 inches longer as it barely reached the outlet from my desk setup. Second is that the white back isn't exactly OEM robot white. It's damn close but has a bit more yellow than the Microsoft white. It's hardly noticable but it's there. I have a white Gamesir G7 and the back matches that more.

Bought in July 2023 because my kiddo blows through batteries like she's trying to set a world record.Its currently April 2024 and I've had no issues whatsoever with the docking station or the rechargeable batteries. The orange light it gives off when charging still works and looks pretty cool. Would recommend

Aside from the colors they picked for the charging lights (yellow for charging and white for fully charged instead of red/green as we are used to), I'm completely satisfied. Does exactly what it should.

Good but ultimately expensive. You get just one battery pack along with two back cover one for each type of Xbox controller, Series X/S or One X and if lucky you can get either black or white. The pack holds a decent charge and at the time of writing I am getting around 7 to 9 hours per charge.

The batteries and battery doors fit perfect on my Xbox series x controllers. Bought this for my wife since she was eating through the batteries playing Minecraft. The charge has been lasting through her play sessions which are usually 4 or 5 hours. Which works fine because they get charged overnight. As with any rechargeable battery the lifetime will decrease over time but I haven’t noticed any since we’ve had it for only a month. Time will tell how long but I’ll just buy some more batteries down the road.

I assume this is more expensive than similar options because it's an official "designed for Xbox" product. The battery is easy to install while the battery cover is a bit tricky but once it's in it feels like an official Xbox product. 8BitDo provides different battery covers for the Xbox One controller and the Xbox Core (2020+) controller, so make sure you check that you are putting on the right cover as indicated by the attached sticker. The controllers goes into the dock with ease, there's no need to precisely place down your controllers or line up anything, it just works. The light looks nice, but can be distracting. Fortunately there is a capacitive area at the top that you can tap to adjust the brightness of the lights or have it off completely. Overall, it's a nice package, but a little on the expensive side.
