What's the Rocker arms & How Does It Work?

1.Rocker arms are reciprocating lever used in an internal combustion engine. They are typically located between the intake and exhaust valves and pushrods which are connected with crankshaft below the engine.

2.When the crankshaft rotates it cause up and down movement of the pushrods, then the pushrods pushed and pulled the rocker arm to rock up and down which cause opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves. Then power can flow from the combustion chamber of engine through various parts to the wheels to put the vehicle in motion.

3.The broken and loose rocker arm cause poor performance of the engine, the engine will be enable to take the full load of the vehicle and in severe cases engine failed to start.

1.This valve lifter only fits the fourth generation of DOD/AFM V8 engines.

2.Do not start the engine immediately after the hydraulic tlifter is replaced.

3.Please confirm whether the supply of lubricating oil is sufficient.And it is necessary to fill the valve tappet with No. 68 hydraulic oil in advance.

4.Any malfunction and damage to the rocker arm or hydraulic lifter will reduce the horsepower of the engine or even cause the engine to fail completely, preventing a smooth ride.

5.The best way to deal with it: disassemble the engine cylinder head and replace the hydraulic lifters or rocker arms.

6.Do not use this valve lifter in newer DFM engines!

Right out of the box you can tell they are very low quality. Sure enough they didn’t even last 2 hours before 2 out of the 8 failed. These are a big waste of time and money!

Installed these in 2014 Cadillac Escalade. Engine ran great for the first 50 miles then started skipping and misfiring. Did usual checks and ruled out a bad plug, coil or injector. Pulled valve cover and 2 cylinders had no movement on rocker arms. Removed cylinder heads and found these lifters had come apart. Not only do i get to do the job again, but i will have to replaced the camshaft which was damaged when the lifter failed. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
