Worked good, you just have to watch the pin in the swivel joint. It fell out twice while I was sanding.

I bought this awhile ago but just now started to use it and it works good all metal and does what its supposed to do. the only issue is you have to be careful with the direction you sand with it because it can untwist especially when going from right to left against a wall when sanding a ceiling, this action causes it to roll and untwist. This seems to sand flatter than a square sander ,however, the sander cant do corners everything has pros and cons that's life. seems well built and I imagine it will last awhile

I got this to help with a drywall refinishing project where I need to sand down a large skim coated barrel vault. This works great in my limited test! I could sand back and forth, left and right, even in a circle or twirl the disc in place. I'm very happy with the articulation.I didn't even have 9" discs on me, but I tried a little with just an 7" disc to see if it would work. I now have 9" discs on order. You don't need ones with holes, but they will work if that's what you have. I don't recommend going smaller than 9" for when you actually sand your room, I was just testing it.I thought the pole might be cheap and I could just replace with a longer high quality pole, but I'm surprised. It's a 3 section thin steel tube pole, with plastic threading. The top is so light that this pole actually felt fine. I also don't have to press as hard because I'm not concerned about it flipping.You can also just use 1 or 2 sections if you wanted to, or replace with your own pole that has the common coarse threading.One flaw I fixed:The hook surface of the sander was glued on improperly and had a big air pocket underneath. I couldn't squish it out to one side, so I took a poker (you can use a finishing nail or something small) and made a few holes in the hook surface, then I could get the air pocket out.

Though it comes with the long pole (in 3 parts, though you have to use at least 2 of them if you want the handle), I mainly use this with just one attached as I don't need the reach. I have 9" sanding discs with holes in them, and they fit with just a little bit hanging over the edge. The hook and loop holds well.
