So far, so good. This bulb seems to have a better quality than the others I've used. I've had 2 bulbs to blow on my 73 inch Mitsubishi WD 73737 model 3 weeks of use with each bulb. Average daily TV time was about 4 hours, nowhere close to the 1300+ hours they promised. Those bulbs came from Lamp Pros. Dont waste your time. They replaced my bulb after it blew and they had great customer service but the quality was bad. This bulb shines brighter and seems to have a sturdier housing. I will post an update. I've only had it for 2 weeks so I wont speak too soon.UPDATEIts the end of August and the bulb is still shining bright. I am very pleased to report that this bulb is still functioning as it did when I 1st installed it in my Mitsubishi T.VI highly recommend this bulb. 6 months after installing and its had no malfunctions. Overall im very satisfied with this bulb.UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER!Im 1 year into owning this bulb and its a true champion. Shows just like it did when I 1st installed it. I would say we have put about 1,800 hours on the bulb thus far. 5 hours a day X 365. So yes please purchase this bulb. Its exactly what you want and need. I hope this review helps everyone looking for a great replacement bulb.

The product arrived in satisfactory condition. I was initially very concerned about the authenticity of the product because despite it coming with a pamphlet indicating specific features that identify it as a genuine Philips product, I could not find any. However, after a long talk with a representative from the vendor, I was put at ease with the explanation. They did see how it could be confusing as well and offered to follow up with my suggestions to their team to help future customers. It seems it was more of a mix up between Phillips and the vendor but they assured my it was legitimate. I was able to install the bulb with no issues (4/2/17) and it is still functioning with no issues and has restored my screen projection to its original brilliance.

Buying a replacement bulb is a very stressful ordeal. You look in your manual, you get a product number, you search on this website and you get a price range of $28-$100+. How does that happen? Well, thats because you are buying a bulb for a TV they stopped making years ago, and for a platform thats disapeared from the market outside of projectors.Well, what I have come to learn is, these bulbs are made all over the place, and some are made very cheaply and sold very cheaply. So when you find a deal thats too good to be true for what appears to be the same stinking thing. It is too good to be true. It's really difficult to make the decision... Do I get one or multiple cheap ones, and hope for the best? Do I go big, and buy a name brand product that promises 6000+ hours of life and costs 3x as much? What if I buy the expensive one, and it's really just a knock off with a bigger price to boost consumer confidence?Well, thus far, I can't complain about the performance of the bulb I got from this seller (outside of it doesn't come with any screws, and I properly disposed the screws out with the replaced bulb expecting I'd get new ones... so don't make the same dumb mistake I did). It worked. I have a 73inch Mitsubishi DLP HDTV and my bulb recently burnt out. I didn't feel like buying another TV because buying a 73" TV these days with DLP no longer an option outside of a projector, you are talking thousands of dollars I didn't feel like paying... so I thought I'd go the route of replacing the bulb and thats what I did.Anyway, I had no idea what I was going to get... a genuine Philips bulb, or some compatible bulb made in some sweat shop. I had read a lot of reviews and got myself all paranoid over this. Hearing "I got my bulb and it came from Mexico". Much to my disappointment, when I looked at the box it was shipped in, it said "Made in Mexico". I immediately panicked because also in the box was a printout of of "How to detect if your bulb is genuine". It says "it will have a serial number sticker on it" (Check! It had one of those... but how much does it cost to print out a sticker?), it says it will have "Philips" printed on the inside of the bulb... (NOPE!), then it says, you have a counterfeit if your bulb is made anywhere other than (and I think it said Singapore... but regardless, it didn't say "Mexico"). The box said Mexico, and in the plastic on the bulb housing said "Made in Mexico". Now... I don't know if that’s because the housing was made in Mexico, or the whole thing was made in Mexico. That being said... I immediately felt duped (and badly duped). I plugged the bulb in, and turned on the TV... and no picture. I was furious, but before I packed it back up and shipped it back for a full refund, I pulled it out and reinstalled it and the second time it worked. After it started working, I looked at the sticker on the back of my TV and it said "Made in Mexico" and started to believe I hadn't been duped... just wound up by an insert that was misleading and did nothing but instil doubt in my purchase. What I can say is... do your research and buyer beware when purchasing replacement bulbs. There are a TON of counterfeits out there (probably most of them are counterfeits). Beware of speech like "OEM Compatible" or "OEM Equivalent". All OEM stands for is "Original Equipment Manufacture". So if it's not an actual "OEM", some 3rd party made it and don't expect anywhere near the same quality or standards. If you are buying a bulb for anything "new" for less than $40... you are buying a fake. Just know that. It might work, but if it breaks in a couple of months as many testimony’s have already said... you get what you paid for.

We tried the generic, less-than-thirty-dollars bulb, and it worked fine, until it shut off. And kept shutting off. And kept shutting off!! I cleaned everything, again, had repairmen out to replace other components, and even flashed new firmware! When nothing worked, I decided, since the set had worked flawlessly up until the bulb blew, I needed to try an OEM bulb. Various forums had tales of problems with non-OEM bulbs, and a few even had my exact symptoms: runs fine for 15 minutes to an hour and shuts off, but can be turned right back on. I mention all this to help anyone else with similar symptoms, because this bulb solved the issue! The set is working perfectly and the picture is like new. Just goes to show you that you get what you pay for. So, yes, this bulb is more, but it is well worth it!

Easy to install..works great, however I now need a new "DLP Chip" replacement as there are black and white spots on the screen. I did not notice them before, but It's possible that I missed them before I changed the projection lamp. So, it's back to the drawing board.
