We get bursts of high winds in Oklahoma, especially in the spring, so I really needed a heavyweight base for a 9-ft patio umbrella. At 95 lbs once full, the weight is perfect. Functional and sturdy patio umbrella base for $50. Easy to assemble. Fit the pole just right. Good value for the price if you're looking for a hefty but budget option.

The base is basic black plastic, lightweight, then you fill it with "weight" and you have your "95"lbs of weight. This way, if you use water, then you can dump it and refill it when you get out there camping, and not having to carry an extra 100 lb, just use their water and then dump it on a tree when you leave. For our more permanent location, we used small gravel, then added water to fill, that way we can dump out some weight, move it around, and refill. But once we got it placed where we wanted the umbrella, we just left it there,. Easy to use, keeps the umbrella anchored (but we still need to keep and eye as the wind here can level even the most weighted umbrellas, and put it down when not in use).

It's essential to remember that this umbrella stand must be filled with either water or sand! I opted for water, and it works wonderfully. The stand is constructed from durable plastic and comes with everything you need for easy setup. It also includes various fittings to accommodate different pole sizes, so you may need to remove one, two, or even three of them.If you decide to use water, filling it up with a hose is a breeze. The stand has a diameter of 20 inches and stands 4.5 inches tall. When installed correctly, the holder should extend 8.5 inches above the base, so ensure it reaches the bottom for proper setup. All in all, this is a great value, and I highly recommend it.I hope you find my review helpful!

This is a replacement for a metal umbrella base that had the securing screw rust and break. It is my first 'to be filled' umbrella base. Appears well made, soft and light weight when empty. Instructions fairly good. Easy to assemble. It even has a soft plastic 'funnel' to make filling easier. I"m impressed with the different umbrella shaft diameter adaptors. They provide flexibility in what diameter umbrella pole you use. The attachment screw goes through the adaptor thus stabilizing both adaptor and umbrella. The stand is a little taller than previous stands 4 vs 2 inches. Haven't put it outside yet until weather improves. The final test will be how it holds up in the wind. If I know the wind is going to be heavy, I usually close the umbrella so it doesn't fly into the neighbor's yard. Given the light weight when empty version, this model would be excellent for someone who knows they will be moving soon. It only weights about 6 lb.s when empty. If it lasts a few years and stays put in a reasonable wind, I will be buying a similar one to replace it when the time comes. Yes I recommend it.

Very happy with this stand. We have it in the yard with a large beach-type umbrella that we'd previously been sticking in the ground or wedged in place with concrete blocks. (Yes, I know how that sounds, but that was the best interim solution we could come up with.) This stand can be easily filled with water from the hose and includes adjustable clamps to hold different size poles. So installing it was pretty easy. When filled with water, it had enough weight and diameter to hold the heavy umbrella snugly. And just for icing, the manufacturer shipped the order very quickly -- we received it in just a few days -- and packaged it very well, in a large box that must have cost quite a bit to ship. This is heavy-duty plastic, properly designed, and manufactured well. Ours did not leak and I have the impression that it'll last for years. Given all that, the price seems more than fair. This isn't some bargain-basement one-off that won't handle a heavy umbrella or that will deteriorate after one season.Highly recommended.

This umbrella base is large and made of a fairly hardy plastic. The diameter is generous, which gives me confidence that tipping will not be easy, but it’s probably best suited for an under-the-table umbrella rather than a free-standing one. I filled mine with water and I don’t detect any leaks. I don’t think this base is worth paying too much money for, but it certainly gets the job done and is an overall average, satisfactory product.
