1. Upside down the Mac, and the battery type is printed on the bottom cover, like Model A1465 EMC 2558.
2. Open the bottom cover to check the old battery type, like model A1495.
3. Go for the "System Report" and get the Model Identifier on the ''Hardware'' page, like MacBookAir5,1

I purchased this replacement battery hoping to salvage an older MacBook Air that constantly needed to be plugged into a power source. Installation was a pinch, didn’t take much knowledge or skill to remove the old battery and install this replacement, all tools (micro screwdrivers, prying tools) are included. The only reason I’m not giving this battery a 5 star rating is it seems to lose power faster when depleted below 50 percent, even in standby mode. Not sure if this one is defective or not but that’s my only issue. Other than that it works much better than the battery it replaced, so my laptop is once again portable.

So far it works well and is holding a charge. Good battery life. Directions were good and came with included tools needed. I always heard it was hard to change Apple batteries but all in, maybe 5-10 minutes. No problem at all.

Used this for my early 2015 Macbook air. It works well and now hold a charge!This battery even came with a screwdriver which was very helpful because even though I have 1,001 tiny screw drivers I did not have this exact pattern and size somehow.
