Polished aluminum differential cover for SBF Truck 12 bolt front end with 10.25" / 10.5" ring gear with Sterling Ring Gear. Made from heavy duty cast aluminum with ribbed design and thick gasket flange for added strength. This cover also increases fluid capacity for added cooling and has a drain plug.

Will not usually fit front differentials due to clearance issues with steering center link shaft. Includes gasket and bolts.

The drain is a nice feature, along with the thickness of the mounting surface. Came with Socket Head Cap Screws with washers to replace old diff. bolts, only issue i ran across is on the holes. One of them was slightly off but with a little work i was able to get to fit. Does not come with a gasket in which RVT works just as well.

1997 F250/f350. Bolted right up and came with the gasket and bolts and washers. Painted it black and sanded off the ribs and clear coated for a little added protection.

Holds more fluid than factory. More surface area for cooling. Great construction. Packed well and shipped fast. Great upgrade and highly recommend these

This fit my 1995 Ford F-250 with Ford 10.25/10.5 (12-bolt) differential. The aluminum is nice and thick. The polish is a mirror finish. Being aluminum and having a drain plug are the main reasons why I bought this item. Aluminum is more corrosion resistant than steel, and the original cover didn't have a drain plug.If you're original cover is steel, order the kit with bolts. The original Ford bolts will be marginally long enough because this cover has a nice thick flange. They will also probably be corroded and an eye sore against the polished aluminum.Make sure, before you fill the differential, to remove the drain plug and wrap some Teflon tape on it. I also bought a .75" diameter neodymium magnet and super glued it to the plug. This way it collects any steel particulates in the oil. With this cover, the rear end held around an extra half quart of fluid. I ended up using about 4.5 quarts. This is an added benefit because more fluid equates to longer drain intervals and slightly cooler rear end.The cover being aluminum transfers heat better than steel. The cover also has fins. This also leads to a cooler rear end.The bolt hole pattern was slightly off. Before installing, I checked it against a Fel-Pro gasket. Instead of slotting any holes, I went the route of drilling every hole 2 drill sizes larger. After doing this, it went on without any issues. In my experience, it's normal to have to slightly modify cheap aftermarket parts. If you want perfection, order a Yukon Cover at 2x the price. 5-Stars for price, quality thick aluminum, and ease of install.

This is a nice, basic differential cover. However, 11 out of 12 holes line up. The 12th is just a little off. I will have to use a dremil tool to widen the hole just a bit. It needs to be widened a small amount in the direction of the red arrow in my picture. These covers are made on a jig, sometimes errors happen. I don't appreciate or approve of this happening to me. But that's the luck of the draw. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR, just like I did. Test fit the differential cover dry FIRST, before using a gasket or adding fluids. This way, just like me you cab ensure the cover fits properly before you go wasting fluids or gaskets.

I put the cover on this weekend it fit perfectly a gasket and a little silicone very nice. Hint use mother’s aluminum polish before you install to keep a shine

Nice. Bolted up and no leaks. Diff cover has a drain plug. It is a nice aluminum cover, but its too shiny for a work truck. I plan to paint it with some semi gloss black.

(Pros) Fits 2008 Super Duty 10.5 axle. Nice looking cover. Good quality finish.(Con #1) Bolt holes must be opened up. It will not fit until you grind clearance. I used a round file, but Dremel would also work.(Con #2) Drain plug leaks!! Even after using thread sealer it still dripped. The steel plug threads loosely into the aluminum and you cannot tighten enough without stripping the soft cover threads. Solution was to take plug back out and wrap heavily with teflon tape. Not easy to do with gear oil pouring out. Had to swap in a temporary plug while I re-sealed the magnetic one. So far it is holding.
