My son and I have all of the colors. When we do night dives, (especially on the Sea Tiger wreck off waikiki) we coordinate with the Dive Master and other divers so that each of us has a different color or if there are multiple dive parties, we all use the same color. We clip them to the tank valve and they are visible on the surface and under water. We also found the red one really useful for clipping to the dog's harness when we do evening walks in what passes for winter here in Hawaii. The white one takes up almost no space and is quite bright. It's useful to have lying around when you need emergency illumination.

This light arrived on-time. The light is easy to use and has three different modes - bright, dim, and strobe. The mode selection is made by turning the 'on' knob 'on' and 'off'. For bright mode turn the knob once, for dim mode turn the knob twice in quick succession and for strobe mode turn the knob three times in quick succession. I did not get this light for diving. I got this light to hang in a tent when I am camping and to use as a marker to find my way back to camp in the dark. It comes with a battery (size AAA) and a lanyard (that can be disconnected from the light. So, one could hang it around their neck or attach it to a backpack.

This red lamp was too dim and I did not like it. The green and blue are the best.

The light works well, even under water. The only issue that I have is the method used to turn the light on and switch between settings. First twist is high, then you have to turn it off, the second turn is low, then you have to turn it off, the third twist is strobe. Unless you remember or write down which setting you turned it off after it might not be the setting you want when you turn it back on. It would have been better if there were 3 individualized buttons, 1 for high, 2 for low, 3 for strobe. Other than that it is a great light with long battery life in a common battery type.

This light developed a crack in the side of the casing that flooded the light with seawater on the FIRST Dive I went on (max depth 85'). It was NOT smashed against the boat like my Tovatec dive light was (great light survived that abuse no problem check my review!) This light was attached to my leg looped through my swim trunks pocket. I highly recommend it for snorkeling (no issues there, we did a night snorkel in Cozumel and my companions had no difficulty spotting me.) I think it would also be great for other surface activities, but NOT as a dive light. Requesting a replacement/refund as it is very bright on 100%, and the dimmed mode is still bright but not harshly so. I wish only that it had a slow strobe mode too, which would be less distracting when not being used for high-vis needs.Maybe I just got a dud, the reviews seem very high and I was very saddened by the experience.

I use the red version of this light for night diving. I love the fact it uses every day AAA batteries instead of watch batteries or instead of disposable glow sticks. It allows you to use regular rechargeable. I tie one of these lights to my tank and to my buddy's to ensure we can always easily keep track of one another. I have tried it in larger groups where others have used different lights and glow sticks. These lights are much more visible without being annoying or distracting. They are very watertight and the batteries last many dives. This is a great choice for night diving on someone's tank. I would not consider it as a backup light as it doesn't illuminate in front of you enough. I use the white version to dangle from my dive flag so we can see it from a distance if you are not always dragging it with you.Helpful review? Please click on yes below :)Any questions? I'll do my best to answer in the comments.

This is a review of the Glo-Toob AAA Waterproof Emergency Dive Light. For anyone needing a marker or mini lantern type of light, there is nothing more simple and durable than this light.Positives:1. Bright and 360 degree pattern.2. Frosted durable resin coating to lightly disperse light (though still a little harsh on the eyes if looking directly at it).3. Tiny (not much bigger than C sized battery) and lightweight.4. Waterproof to a point that it can be used for diving.5. Durable construction that is virtually worry free for hard use (as opposed to the Kriana Krill Light which failed).6. Uses only a single AAA battery, which is common and readily available at stores.7. Has respectable runtime (at least 4 hours on high) considering how bright it is.8. Can be attached to a key ring or a lanyard (both come with the light).9. Three modes of high-low-strobe.10. Easy interface of twist once for high, twice for low, and three times for strobe.Negatives:1. It is a little harsh on the eyes as the plastic/resin sides are only frosted slightly, which means most of the light comes through strong from the 3 LEDs in the light.Overall, I rate the Glo-Toob AAA Waterproof Emergency Dive Light a 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. Glo-Toob appears to have designed things right from the start, which produced a well designed and functional marker type of light or a mini lantern. The one small negative I could think of was very minor and due to the light's strong output. It really does not take away anything from the light. I do wish they designed a AA version of this light.UPDATE: 10/16/15Added some pictures of the Glo-Toob AAA in Red and Blue, including a generic brand in Green that is not quite as good in quality. You can judge the difference in color between all three, and also see the quality difference between Glo-Toob and the generic brand. The Glo-Toob is manufactured to a much higher level of quality, with smooth and opaque plastic, which reduces direct glare from the bright LEDs. The colors are also compared to the Red, Green, and Blue of the Nitecore SRT7 flashlight.
