Overall, it was an ok part. My TCM was going out in my car, so I ended up having to get a new one. I bought this one off Amazon. It's lasted me 3 years, and this one is starting to go out. That stabilitrak just seems to be a problem with older Chevy's. I got a 4 year warranty on the TCM. So I'll just be getting it replaced.

Worked like a charm! though it wasn't the easiest of repairs but well worth it. The 11 SRX is back to new with no trans codes. This module will fix most of your TCM codes and the car will drive after the repair, however you must take it to the dealer or have a capable scanner with current GM Software to get it flashed/programmed to your specific VIN.

A GMC dealer diagnosed my 2010 Acadia’s shifting problems and ABS warnings as the ECU for $200. They replaced the ECU for $800 more, but failed to secure the wiring harness. The harness then fell on the manifold and melted all the wires. That shorted-out both the ECU and TCU. The dealer lied and blamed rodents for chewing the wires and causing the short! They replaced the ECU at no charge but then said it would sit on their lot for 6 weeks because they didn’t have a Transmission Specialist and couldn’t find a harness. Towed it to a CHEVY dealer where they charged another $200 diagnostic fee. Same diagnosis. So, it sat 5 more weeks waiting for their backlogged transmission specialist. Stuck with an Acadia with less than 35k miles that wouldn’t start or drive, and after spending $200 at the second dealer, I just went on vacation. I used their lot as paid-for parking. 13 weeks, 2 dealers, and a 2-week vacation later, I just ordered the TCU from Amazon. I had AAA tow it from the dealer to a mechanic friend who installed it. We then towed it to another CHEVY dealer to reprogram the new TCU. Fully repaired! Yes, I tend to want to trust dealerships, but what a chain of events. My GMC works great now and I distrust dealers even more.
