Be sure to drain oil before removing old sensor and make sure o-ring from old sensor NOT stuck to engine like mine was. Good thing I I specter bad sensor I removed and noticed missing o-ring. Installed and snugged up (not top tight, it's plastic!) and oil temperature gage inside car working again.

Fixed my check oil light. Simple to replace... with the right tools. You will need to drain oil or make a mess... easier to just drain oil. I waited until I had 30% life on oil and after I replace the oil pressure sensor and screen first. All those parts are pretty cheap. Low profile floor jack was not cheap... but now I can change my own oil again. Also put on a fumoto valve to make draining oil easier. This was to fix the Check Oil warning on a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT with L76 6.0... DOD/AFM still active... 140000 miles.
