Good fit, though its a different design(not as wide) see pic. Works perfect for 4.2L trailblazer tensioner pulley.

Replaced this when I replaced the tensioner pully on our Hummer. Easy install for a driveway mechanic to do with basic tools. Hardest part is removing the belt and that's not very hard with the right tools.

Have no fear, what is shown is not what you get for good reason. The part shown is what you are replacing, what you get is an updated version of the outdated old part. The bearings are held in place from both sides, its solid good quality stuff from canada. By my measurments it will work on my 4.2 inline 6 trailblazer LT (2004). It makes the clearance on the tensor, works with the shield attached and is the same diameter around. Only missing one star just because they should explain whats going on as far as whats depicted, and that what you get, will work as a replacement. You WILL drop over one hundred at a dealership for the assembly and if you find a parts store that can supply this at a better price, consider yourself lucky and play the lotto with the extra cash you just saved.

I needed to return this bearing because it didn't fit my engine arrangement. There are two choices and I picked the wrong one. I will say this. If you need this pulley don't hesitate to buy. It is well made and "NTN" bearings are used. This seller is selling this at a great price too. You won't do better buying locally. I wish I could have used it but I can't.

Thanks to other previous reviewers, I knew this is the replacement pulley for the belt tensioner, NOT the idler pulley. I needed the idler pulley, but decided to also replace the belt tensioner pulley at the same time. You're under the hood and have all the tools out, might as well do both. If one is making noise, the other one probably isn't far behind anyway.Update, about 2-1/2 years after my original review above. My 2007 Trailblazer started making the whining noise again, and I took the serpentine belt off and found out this belt tensioner pulley was again bad. I put the new one on, and no more whine. I'm a bit disgusted that the original lasted about 140,000 miles, and my first replacement (this exact same product) 2 1/2 years ago, only lasted about 25,000 miles until giving out.My idler pulley was making a whining noise, and previous experience has told me this is exactly what the problem is....and I was correct. Changed the pulley's out and no more whine. The first time this problem happened on a previous vehicle, the idler pulley seized up, broke the belt, and I needed a $300.00 tow from 125 miles from home.....all that for a $20.00 idler pulley. I am NOT going to let that circumstance happen again :-)
